Confirm you are renamed BOTH files in this folder, like mentioned.

It should contain:
LoadingIconAnim.dds
LoadingScreen.jpg

@Erik Weatherwax your symptom implies you didnt rename BOTH files. If you
remove the .jpg its still loading the animation, but you can't see it now,
because the image is gone (at least that sounds logical)

@Florian Traverse again, you only mention renaming the .jpg so try BOTH files
like mentioned.
