Ok, I'll remove winetools and try again. I only wanted to use it as a comparison, since it had the proper behavior when installed through that route. I'll try specifying more dll overrides as well.

Matt if you used winetools to install anything, then you _have to_ remove ~/.wine dir, remove winetools and reinstall your program and try again. winetools no longer works with Wine nor was it ever supported by Wine. If you want to use them then please refer all the problem reports to their author directly.
Also please provide _all_ terminal output that program generates (attach to this bug do not paste).
