I cannot corroborate Anton Vorobyov's report that this bug exists in EVE when
wine virtual desktop mode is enabled. For me, EVE works while in regular
fullscreen mode - text appears in EVE, not in the console that launched it. Are
you sure 'emulate a virtual desktop' is not enabled in winecfg->graphics?

Unfortunately, EVE is rather unstable in regular fullscreen mode - it works
much better in an emulated virtual desktop. I believe this is an EVE bug
though, not a wine bug. (alt-tabbing in windows tends to destabilize EVE)
