Alexandre's hard and fast rule is that the code that goes into the Wine tree is Good Code that Fixes A Real Problem Cleanly. Note that, so far, *no* DIB engine implementation meets that criterion! As soon as one does, he'll gladly commit it. It's such a big job, though, that he's probably going to have to pitch in himself on it for a month or so. Everyone's glad to have Max's implementation; if nothing else, it's a great proof-of-concept. And even if it isn't good enough to go into the main wine tree, nothing is stopping, say, PlayOnLinux from using it in their Wine tree!
