I think it's fair to say (and undeniable I would add) that now the main audio system on the majority of Linux desktops is PulseAudio (then it generally relies on ALSA, but the main interface is pulse).
So, 'when' will we have a pulseaudio driver in the menu to be chosen?

I think that it's undeniable that the main graphical/widget system on the majority of Linux desktops is GTK (though it relies on X11, but the "main" interface is GTK). So when will we have a GTK video driver included in Wine? </irony>
Simple facts: ALSA is the sound system most widely installed on Linux unless you count ALSA's arguably dodgy OSS emulation. (OSS is the sound system most widely available on Unix-like systems.) If you want to know how this works, first work out how many legs the average human has.
