--- Comment #3 from Jean Jean.Emploi@free.fr 2007-11-13 18:09:37 --- Note I was able to solve this Age of Empires 3 issue by doing this: - better following the howto instructions (initially: I had not been running the installer while being located in the proper directory, now I cd to the directory where CD files have been copied then I do "wine autorun.exe" and the installation is smoother and maybe more complete) - installing 2 DLLs (quartz.dll and mscft.dll): copy to windows\system32, then regsvr32 them then declaration in wincfg - adding appropriate registry entries
Now my game runs fine with wine. Im happy. :)
Anyway, maybe this issue lets you identify some more fundamental bug/weakness since I see Stefan proposed a fix for something. I will not be able to test this fix though.
