I said yes and it crashed. The second attempt, gecko installed. Then, Acrobat went into the license agreement and I said yes. Then, it started regular Acrobat and crashed with:
A serious error has been detected and Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot continue. Please reinstall the application and try again.
So, I restarted Acrobat (not the installer) again and it seemed to work. Upon opening a pdf file, I got the above error message again. So, I restarted it a third time and the error message repeated upon opening a pdf file.
