Looks like that's a Toshiba driver: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/ systemrootsyswow64driversthdudfsys/6c8a2b7f-bdcf-4cbd-83bf- 01f61dd42e4b?auth=1
what applications do you have installed in that prefix?
What means with: "what applications do you have installed in that prefix"? I can not install any applikation. I try to run a windows dicom viewer applikation (run_cdviewer.exe) from CD. X-ray images of my foot.
What's the name of that application?
It is a Sectra AB applicaktion called DICOM viewer. Version 16.2.14.2242
But, the problem (thdudf.sys error) shows even when I start wine configuration. I have no other windows application installed. I think the problem starts after the recent (Linux Ubuntu 14.04) kernel update or maybe the one before that. In February 2015 all was OK.
'Toshiba' is that one of my internal HD drives?
Toshiba made the thdudf.sys file; The Dicom viewer probably uses it.
It seems like wine, in general, use it to...?

Also, please retest in 1.9.1, 1.6.2 is no longer supported.
I try to install 1.9.1, it crach. Is there any easy way to install 1.9.1?
How did installing 1.9.1 crash? What are you trying to do, exactly, and what happened?
I think it have to do whit a lot of missing font files. I notice that in the beginning of .\configure (then i do the make depend > make > make install
Is there any deb-file for wine 1.9.1 ?
