--- Comment #216 from Xolotl Loki xoloki@gmail.com 2012-04-18 22:14:55 CDT --- The latest patch attached to this bug appears to fix the intro hang for Linux and OSX. It cannot be applied to wine though, since it uses a pthread in the wine process.
I'm working with wine-dev to push a wineserver shared memory patch which fixes this for good. Though I got sign-off on the design, I have been unable to get NtMapViewOfSection to cooperate, so the patch has been languishing.
Any wine devs looking at this bug who grok NtMapViewOfSection please check out my latest patch on wine-dev.
