What distro are you on, and are you using a Wine binary package or did you build it yourself?
It's Arch and I'm using the distro package. The package version is 2.0rc3-1. As is common for Arch it appears to be very close to upstream.
And is the wineprefix on a native Linux partition on a local drive?
Yes it is a local btrfs. Mount options are nothing special (rw,noatime,ssd,space_cache).
