[Bug 10509] System Shock 2 doesn't run

I get the same backtrace as above when trying to run System Shock 2 after
applying all unofficial patches and fixes with SS2Tool (currently available
from http://www.strangebedfellows.de/index.php?topic=392.0).

SS2Tool is the recommended way to make System Shock 2 run on native Windows
2000 & XP systems (without patching the game won't work on native systems
either).

Again the game works fine with an emulated desktop, apart from not blanking the
mouse cursor.
