Under "Set Screen Options" (Windeskin Advanced - Tools tab) under Other Options there is a check box to use the Mac Driver instead of x11 and this seems to work for me and still be able to check the "Allow the window manager..." It turns out this is a good thing because even unchecking "Allow.." box caused other unpredictable results.
