I am getting what appears to be the same error - running v1.8.9

this is the same with:
  debian - wine    0.9.6-1 sid
  debian - wine    0.9-1   etch
  http://wine.sourceforge.net/apt/   <= as of today 2006-01-29

several i know are able to install and run the application without error on
debian and gentoo
