Did you try in a fresh wineprefix?
Reusing a prefix used with root user is a mess sometimes.

So as a normal user
1) remove your wine prefix,
2) install your app in a fresh wineprefix
3) cd in the folder where you insstalles your appli
4) launch your app with wine
if there is backtrace please attach here the full console output with the
backtrace
5) if there is no backtrace, use winedbg ( https://wiki.winehq.org/Winedbg )
