Reading many WWN at once, I got confused, got to think I was reading an older WWN than I was, then realized I was not, it was the date format. In some countries, like mine (Spain), MM-DD-YYYY is used. In some others, DD-MM-YYYY is used instead. To avoid confusion, I suggest the use of ISO 8601, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601 describes it.
