Don't know, that's too technical for me to understand and answer.  I have found
that the background music won't play, so maybe a workaround for now is to
untick the option "Background Music" in the "Options" menu?  That seems to stop
this game from crashing - for now anyway.  Don't know if that's a permanent
workaround?
