--- Comment #3 from Mike mordok33@gmail.com 2009-07-27 15:40:55 --- It seems as if I may have been entering responses to this bug in 16001 so allow me to restate the steps taken so far.
I have upgraded to 9.04 and finally had to do a fresh install from disc to solve many issues.
Wine was installed as the latest stable version, I believe 1.0.1, and when I Quicken and tried to load the QDF files the program crashed, closing what was on the screen.
As suggested in the form under Bug 16001 I completely removed Wine 1.01 and reinstalled using the current Beta Version 1.1.26. I then reinstalled Quicken Basic 2007 from the Quicken Disc. I can see the program on the Wine C drive and it is listed in the Wine Programs. In addition I left a Launcher on the Desktop for my initial trial.
Now when I attempt to start Quicken 2007 under Wine 1.1.26 the program Immediately Crashes. Crashes = the loading icon - small wheel where the cursor used to be - spins, stops and nothing happens. I have tried loading Quicken from the Programs list in Wine, from the Desktop Icon and by running Wine under the Terminal.
It appears as if the suggestion to upgrade to Wine Beta 1.1.26 has made things worse, however that aside, I am still unable to make Quicken Basic 2007 work either way.
