Frank, the question is can we be sure that the index is fully built properly? This is actually a hard question. On my mac indexing seems to go at a fairly even pace from 0 to 100%. On wine it seems to sometimes report progress, other times not. Go so far and then hang... the icon still there. Even the 32bit version when I added the NIVAC commentaries which I bought today only got so far as 12%. When I quit Logos after a couple of minutes the indexer also exited. It didn't reindex when I opened it again. It's very hard to know if that was completed or not!
Yeah, the percentage has never seemed to work. My suggestion/observation was based upon auditing the index folders and comparing the folders and files they contained to a fully indexed Windows system.
Based on the comparison, the three index folders should contain 9 files and the files matched both in name and file size.
So on a programming level, I cannot say. I will leave that to those of you with the experience to do so. I was trying to offer an avenue that gave an option to verify the validity of the indexing process by comparison to the working version in Windows 10
