austin didn't load a quest to see the error produced by this application... it
doesn't provide a screen by screen viewable example... pretty much my steps to
reproduce the errors are as follows.

1) perform fresh install.
2) open up quest designer.
3) load a quest.
4) watch the errors appear... and note that the map selection screen. does not
generate proper previews of each map, and they appear as black blobs.
