--- Comment #1 from Vladimir kevin.mcalister@gmail.com 2012-04-30 07:10:25 CDT --- Hmmm.. Trying to play around I encounter strange things. - I tried to launch with commandline "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/PokerStars$ wine PokerStars.exe". It was the same crash - I repeated this launch - the lobby has appeared! However, debug output was "err:winediag:IcmpCreateFile Failed to use ICMP (network ping), this requires special permissions". So client cannot connect to server. - I launched third time - and it successfully launched, used ping, connected to server and shows the list of games. - Then I launched with desktop shortcut, the lobby appeared, but cannot connect. - In terminal, I launched exact the same command line from launcher - "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/PokerStars$ env WINEPREFIX="/home/user/.wine" wine c:\windows\command\start.exe /Unix /home/user/.wine/dosdevices/c:/users/Public/Desktop/PokerStars.lnk" - still cannot connect. - simple "wine PokerStars.exe" still starting ok.
After reboot, no changes - with desktop shortcut client launching, but cannot connect. - manually "wine PokerStars.exe" can connect.
I had tried also on another Unubtu 12.04 installation. Sympthoms were the same: - After first install, with desktop shortcut, client crashed - One launched manually "wine Pokerstars.exe" - it works ok - After it, with desktop shortcut, client launching, but not connecting.
