On a related note, I see that keyboard shortcuts (like h for tc, or building shortcuts) stop working sometimes (not always) after alt+tab regardless of patch.
Hmmm, I don't have those problems, but I'm using an older version of Wine (1.4.1).
With this version + patch above + http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/patch/c09c82b25a3c95e79f23f22571fe9a63... + winetricks directplay, the game is running virtually 100% perfect in all areas, including real multiplayer play.
