I think we need to be aware of two different problems here.

This bug appears to have picked up a bug in Wine's handling of the Steam icon,
but there is also bug 22487 which affects all apps on Ubuntu Lucid.  So, if
you're using Lucid you won't really be able to check if this bug still exists
for you.
