You mean the initial build of rc7 and rc6 had pgo enabled? What about rc5? When
I created this bug report, I wasn't able to select a newer version than rc5. I
didn't keep track of which version I was on when the CPU went overboard, so
it's quite possible that it's only pgo causing the issue. I doubt it's Compiz,
because I didn't have any issues with it before, but I am willing to accept
that it did help causing more issues than you would normally get.

I will keep an eye on this. For now, it seems that this report is indeed
invalid due to the pgo problems.
