[Bug 21811] 3impact tech demo collection crashes on first demo

I cleaned prefix, installed the demo and run it at maximum resolution I could
set. I only get blank screen. (running command was wine demos.exe)

fixme:d3dx:D3DXLoadSurfaceFromMemory Unhandled filter 0x3.

I have few of these on my console.

Then I retry the game with and I do get crash

"wine demos.exe skinnedragdoll.dll"

fixme:d3dx:d3dx9_mesh_OptimizeInplace D3DXMESHOPT_ATTRSORT vertex reordering
not implemented.

I didnt have vcrun2005 installed.

Installing it removes just one fixme line. Same crash after installing it.

To me it looks that the issue here is
