Tap'Touche, a French typewriting software complains about missing key on my
(French) keyboard.

This is a bit annoying because some exercices are not available.

wine with WINEDEBUG=keyboard debug option

This log was produced with `WINEDEBUG=keyboard wine .wine/drive_c/Program\
Files/Tap'Touche\ 5/TTouche.exe > wine.log 2>&1`

Note that I ran this command line after a "fresh" installation of "TT".
So during this wine session, I've created a new user (typed 'A' 'l' 'e' 'x')
and typed ^C when the dialog showed me the warning

Hoping that it will be usefull...

what you need to look at.

I'm also running Ubuntu 9.04

$ uname -a
Linux Evan 2.6.28-15-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 9 10:49:34 UTC 2009 i686
GNU/Linux

and this is still an issue with

$ wine --version
wine-1.1.31

$ gcc --version
gcc (Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4) 4.3.3

(.deb package from the following repository deb
http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt jaunty main)

You can download a demo version at
http://www.demarque.com/download_demo/index.asp?noProduit=45fra

But before installing it, you must have Flash player installed for Internet
Explorer.

To reproduce the bug :
cd # or cd ~
rm -fR .wine
winecfg # to have a clean .wine directory
wine install_flash_player_ax.exe # wait 10 sec and then ^C
wine DemoTT55_fra.exe

'Suivant'
'J'accepte les termes de la licence'
'Suivant'
'Installer'
# Ignore errors
# Uncheck all
'Fermer'

Then run wine .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Tap'Touche\ 5/TTouche.exe

Once the window is opened, click on "Nouvel utilisateur"
Type something like 'aaaa' then OK
Suivant (x4)
Terminer

Now the main error appear which means :
"The keyboard configuration you're using now does not let you typing some
characters. What do you want to do :
+ Get more informations about keyboard configuration in Windows
+ Do not practice these characters (will removed concerned exercises)"

For convenience, I've attached a tar.bz2-ed log 
$ WINEDEBUG=+event,+x11drv,+keyboard,+key .wine/drive_c/Program\
Files/Tap'Touche\ 5.5/TTouche.exe > wine_latest 2>&1

I've noticed some relevant messages such as
trace:keyboard:X11DRV_KEYBOARD_DetectLayout XKB could not translate keysym 176
trace:keyboard:KEYBOARD_MapDeadKeysym no character for dead keysym 0x0000ff08
trace:event:call_event_handler KeymapNotify for hwnd/window (nil)/0

What do you think ?
