Steps to Reproduce:

Upgrade to Fedora Rawhide.

sudo yum install wine

Download http://downloadus3.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewer_Setup_en.exe

Instead of installing the software click RUN and choose PERSONAL use.

Hello folks,

I can't reproduce this, works fine here in clean WINEPREFIX.
The user interface is shown and the 'Partner ID' shall be entered.

Upgrade your Wine to 1.7.14 and make sure you run the app from a separate
(new!) prefix. Don't reuse existing prefixes with other software installed.

$ sha1sum TeamViewer_Setup_en.exe 
b6c84c79257711a84b874be371b3f87868b961d2  TeamViewer_Setup_en.exe

$ du -sh TeamViewer_Setup_en.exe 
5.6M    TeamViewer_Setup_en.exe

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.14-126-g2bb1059

I set it to "Windows 7".

If you go into Wine Config and change it to Windows 7 does it crash for you?

As Nikolay said: if the app/installer doesn't explicitly request 'Windows 7'
don't change it.

Higher Windows version doesn't automatically mean the app runs better.
In fact there are various scenarios where changing the default settings makes
things worse (use of newer Windows API which are unimplemented/insufficient).

I created a new user account in fedora.

I right clicked the installer, clicked run only, I got teamviewer id and pass,
but then it said it needs to close.

I am attaching the new backtrace.

I am running wine-1.7.16.

Hello folks,

works fine here. Comment #10: please don't post test results with much newer
app versions. This is not useful at all as the underlying app
frameworks/technologies might have changed.

Updating download link to match original version.
