NB: I am not using PoL, I am just creating the prefix in the PoL structure as I
want HDT to work with my PoL install of Hearthstone.

I am trying to get a good install of dotnet4.5 working for Hearthstone Deck
Tracker, using the instructions as per:
https://wine-staging.com/news/2015-12-22-release-1.8.html:

$ WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/HDT winecfg
> Select cancel on the mono install
> Set Win version to 7
> Add new override for mscoree.dll and set to native

Then I run the Dotnet5.2 installer:

$ WINEPREFIX=~/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/HDT wine start
'NDP452-KB2901907-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe'

Installation works although I get the windows update missing error.

I then try and run Hearthstone Deck Tracker that has been placed in the program
files directory:

$ WINEPREFIX=~/.PlayOnLinux/wineprefix/HDT wine start 'c:\Program
Files\Hearthstone Deck Tracker\Hearthstone Deck Tracker.exe'

The following error message is output:

Seen as I am running 1.9.10 I have also tried:
> the install without adding the mscoree.dll override
> the install with the mscoree.dll set to native, builtin

and neither work.

I have already tried that with similar results. The reason I resorted to trying
this method was because the winetricks didn't work.

Can you try with new prefix and up to date winetricks?

You really should not install dotnet files without winetricks.

Hello folks,

dupe of bug 26757

'mscoree.dll' and other components are provided in one of the .msu packages
which are part of the self-extracting installer (selection depends on WinVer
setting in WINEPREFIX).

Wine only provides a dummy/stub 'wusa' hence missing components after
installation are expected.

All issues encountered have already been investigated/documented, some even
years ago. There is no point in creating NEW bugs = duplicates for that or
asking for support in a non-winetricks scenario.
If you don't use 'winetricks' then you need to deal with all sorts of installer
bugs on your own.
