world of warcraft does not work on my pc in d3d mode, opengl mode works but is much slower than windows and has less grafical features.
my system contains core2duo e6700 8800 gts 320mb 4gb ram
distro: archlinux wine: git nvidia driver: 180.06
when i try to start wow without the -opengl flag it instantly crashes.
according to stefand im reporting my bug here and i attacked the trace including d3d,d3d_draw,seh
it contains several execptions

It's worth to note that WoW crashes here only in high resolution modes, it doesn't crash in 1024x768. Martin, can you confirm that?
well, a friend of mine said he can start wow without the wow config file (config.wtf) but he has major video glitches. for myself i can say it does not start at all.

From my trying, WoW works in D3D mode if you turn off vertex shaders (set to
none on winecfg) or disable GLSL in the registry. Perhaps the person with it working has done one of these two options. Just disabling vertex shaders while leaving GLSL enabled results in lots of rendering errors though they can be enabled with GLSL disabled with problems that aren't too bad. Mostly fog is incorrect, targeting circles seem to have some z-fighting going on and other random lighting issues on the terrain at times. There is also some gui errors where elements will suddenly jump slightly to the right..then back to where they should be.
