That's more or less by design. If you want raw events you should select them on the individual slaves.
That's broken. The whole idea about selecting individual device to get more events comparing to _all_ devices and not getting all events is wrong.
Besides there is seems to be no way to actually get the mouse device ID. There are always some other stuff that has nothing to do with mouse:
