Bug ID: 42840 Summary: Unbox Game black screen in-game Product: Wine Version: 2.5 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3d Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: zionnimchuk@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Launching from 32-bit steam and a 32-bit wineprefix, the GUI still shows up, and some particle effects show up as well. The game functions fine, except I can't see any of the 3d models. According to a random site the game uses the Unreal Engine 4 engine.
I tried to pipe the output to a file (by appending > output.txt to command) but it didn't work for some reason.
Here is the last bit of output from the terminal: https://paste.scratchbook.ch/view/raw/aa57e2c4
Specs: wine-staging 2.5 (using distro package) Arch Linux 64-bit Nvidia GTX 1070 with beta binary drivers 381.09 Intel i7-4770 KDE Plasma version 5.9.4 Linux kernel version 4.10.10

err:d3d:wined3d_debug_callback 0x9199eb0: "GL_INVALID_FRAMEBUFFER_OPERATION error generated. Operation is not valid because a bound framebuffer is not framebuffer complete.". fixme:d3d:wined3d_rendertarget_view_get_drawable_size Not implemented for WINED3D_RTYPE_TEXTURE_3D resources.
The game may work better in Wine 2.6 (rendering to 3D textures is implemented now).

--- Comment #3 from Zion Nimchuk zionnimchuk@gmail.com --- Wine-staging 1.6 fixes the issue! Hooray! Some of the textures are screwed up on the map (NPCs seem to be unaffected), should I file another bug?

--- Comment #4 from Zion Nimchuk zionnimchuk@gmail.com --- Woops, meant to say 2.6...

Most likely yes. It's good to report bugs so developers are aware of them. The appdb has lots of bugs and workarounds that are not reported at bug tracker. They would get more focus with reporting.
