Sometimes the downloads dont happen... and sometimes they take FOREVER.... i'm downloading each font at about 2KBps, and theres many fonts to download... and theres also time in between when its just waiting for a response from the server....
why is it so slow??
This is just the output in the terminal using apt-get for ONE font.... many more to go

so you're saying that wine doesnt require those fonts?
I think even if its not a technical fault with wine... it still is a wine problem (and other parties problems also, every ones problem actually), because if wine isn't installing correctly and efficiently, then users are being deprived.
If nothing else, then we are being deprived of a good experience. If I want bugs and problems I should stick with Windows, no?
Ubuntu's philosophy is to make an Operating system for everyone, that's easy to use and works well... i believe in that. Can we work towards it please?

Wine has no control over the sourceforge mirrors, nor over the wine package that Ubuntu provides.
