Using wine 0.9.58 on Debian Lenny (x86_64).

Installed UK version, patched to 1.60 (no no-cd crack was applied).

When running wine RavenShield.exe, I see the splash screen, then it crashes:

This is the retail version, not a demo. I also tried the no-cd crack, but I got
the same error.

First installation I said no to installing directx 9 (I thought Wine had this
built-in).

Anyway, I installed again, this time with directx 9 also.

Got the same error message, but two additional lines also:

fixme:keyboard:RegisterHotKey (0x1002c,49255,0x00000001,27): stub
fixme:d3d_shader:vshader_set_limits Unrecognized vertex shader version 0

Pixel Shader is turned off. If I turn it on, wine crashes again.

Is there a howto on debugging directx somewhere?

Wine also fails to run counterstrike: source on this machine.

OpenGl is working fine (tried with some native opengl apps), also glxinfo says:

glxinfo | grep rendering 
direct rendering: Yes

The driver is:

ii  fglrx-driver   8.47.3-3       non-free AMD/ATI r5xx, r6xx display driver

on debian lenny.

I don't whether this should be closed or not but I think it has something to do
with the crappy ATI drivers.

I'll try again when radeonhd gets into a working state.

(1.1.19 or newer) wine and can provide the requested information, feel free to
