Trying to run or install a recent version of TSDoctor (http://www.cypheros.de/tsdoctor.html Trial Version 1.0.58 in my case) I get an application error,

The original message in the Windows?-Message-box:

Exception EAccesViolation in Modul TSDocter.exe bei 001D0586. Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse 005D0586 in Modul 'TSDocor.exe'. Lesen von Adresse 00000000.

I guess this suggests an access violation while reading from 00000000.

The output of the command line is given with the attachment.

With that key created it doesn't crash, but just exits to the console ;). Maybe we should nevertheless create this key by default

A small pop is shortly messaging that virtual machines aren't supported with the trial versions - so I guess that everything happens by purpose of the developer.

and it starts just fine with wine 1.7.48-git

I dont know about earlier versions, but this recognizes wine as it says in german about wine behaviour with the program when you start it.

Found downloadlink for old version here: master.elant.cz/SAT/VU+/Tools/TSDoctor_Ger.rar

The crash really seems to come from missing registry key. When key is added (like in patch) crash is gone, and it says (in German) "Cannot be run in Virtual Machine"

The program checks if it is run in wine (checks for entry points wine_get_version and wine_nt_to_unix_file_name in ntdll); I just stupidly replaced all occurences of this in wine-source by putting extra letter before it:

find ./ -type f -exec sed -i 's/wine_nt_to_unix_file_name/qwine_nt_to_unix_file_name/g' {} ;

find ./ -type f -exec sed -i 's/wine_get_version/qwine_get_version/g' {} ;

Then windowmessage changes in: "don`t start program via rpcss.exe"

Anyway, if i remove the registry key it goes crashing again. As the program does not want wine to run it, i`d say I`ll send patch, and if accepted let`s close this;
