Summary: Paradox 11 Install: Paths Incorrect in system.reg Product: Wine Version: 1.1.0 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: msi AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: pbronline-wine@yahoo.co.uk
Paradox is installed under C:\Programs File\Paradox. Some 78 out of 1323 paths in system.reg are missing the \Program Files\Paradox root of the path.
e.g.
"File Name"="C:\Paradox\Experts\Startup\expstart.fdl"
instead of:
"File Name"="C:\Program Files\Paradox\Paradox\Experts\Startup\expstart.fdl"
If winetricks is used beforehand to install wsh56 but NO native dll overrides are selected then the paths in system.reg are all correct.
I cannot provide a download link. I have installed Paradox from the Word Perfect Office X3 Professional CD. I believe this is the same version of Paradox that shipped with the earlier WPO 12 and WPO 2003. It may have been available separately at an earlier date.
I attach, separately, wine logs of an installation without wsh56 and one with wsh56.

The "err:msi:ITERATE_DuplicateFiles Failed to copy file" appears to be irrelevant. I have other logs where this does not appear but the file still was not copied.

err:msi:call_script Could not find CLSID for Windows Script
Invalid. You've found out the long route that you do, in fact, have to have wsh installed for the installer to work. That's not a bug in msi or in Wine (minus the fact that we don't implement wsh).
