Every game I tested with this warning gets fixed when removing the return as Fabian say: Mantis burn racing (messed up graphics makeing it unusable), machiavillain (black screen), shock tactics (missing some 2d graphics), azuran tales trials (black screen), lust for darkness (missing inventory view), sundered (missing map), little witch academia (bad menu rendering and missing gameplay scenes).
The games seems to work good in most of them I can't see any visible problems with the return removed (only little witch academia shows a bit ugly dof that can be related).

Yes. Removing the return statement does make Friday the 13th Killer Puzzle work without -force-d3d9.
I don't own Lines Infinite or Anxiety and so cannot test those games, but there is a Lines X Free game on Steam from the same author of Lines Infinite.
Lines X Free does print the multisample resolve FIXMEs and has the blank screen issue too. Removing the return statement makes it work.
I don't know why Lines Infinite doesn't print the multisample resolve FIXMEs. Maybe it depends on the version of the Unity 3D engine.
