Civilization 4 Demo fails to start. While displaying the splash screen it breaks and Wine displays a window informing about the problem.
The problem didn't occur in previous Wine versions. I've done a bisect and it seems that the commit introducing the bug is 550a3bbf:
commit 550a3bbf96cc2703f894284b354cae9084e86b9b Author: Henri Verbeet hverbeet@codeweavers.com Date: Thu Jun 18 09:04:03 2009 +0200
wined3d: Reuse the FBO for check_fbo_compat().
I'm attaching the output from stderr.

--- Comment #1 from Henri Verbeet hverbeet@gmail.com 2009-07-28 05:29:08 --- Could you retry with 1.1.26 or current git? At first sight this looks like a bug in the intel driver though.

The bug occurs on both 1.1.26 and the lastest git.

The demo suffers from this issue : http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8107 . Installing msxml3 and msxml4 with winetricks works around the issue.
When I try to load the game, it crashes and says "error loading shader libraries". I added a +d3d,+seh log, if it can be useful.

The log looks incomplete, but either way this is a different issue from the one originally reported. The original bug was in the intel driver actually, and should already be fixed there. This bug should be marked invalid.
