Bug ID: 52692 Summary: EffectRack crashes in ucrtbase with page fault Product: Wine Version: 7.4 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: ucrtbase Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: pak762@gmx.de Distribution: ---
Created attachment 72036 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=72036 Crashdump after start of DDMF EffectRack
After upgrading to Wine 7.4.1 DDMF EffectRack crashes with a page fault in ucrtbase being called from wined3d_adapter_get_identifier.
This was not the case in Wine 7.3
I also tested a fresh Manjaro install in a VM but there I could not reproduce this issue since this might be specific to having an Nvidia card and driver. The driver version is 510.54 but also on the latest 470.x version I had installed before this error occurred.

--- Comment #1 from Piotr Caban piotr.caban@gmail.com --- Could you please run a regression test to identify the commit that causes the problem? There's information about running the regression test here: https://wiki.winehq.org/Regression_Testing#Running_the_bisection

--- Comment #2 from pak762@gmx.de --- When removing ucrtbase from the libraries in winecfg the program starts to work again, but without ucrtbase FL-Studio is not working correctly.
After testing a bit the solution was to set ucrtbase to (builtin then native) and now both EffectRack and FL-Studio work with this.
Maybe this is just an issue with my wineprefix since in a clean new wineprefix this issue does not appear even with ucrtbase being (native then builtin).
Should I still do a regressiontest non the less?

--- Comment #3 from Piotr Caban piotr.caban@gmail.com --- We can close the bug as invalid if you think it's appropriate. There's no need to run the regression test if you think this is some kind of problem with your wineprefix.

--- Comment #4 from pak762@gmx.de --- Since the program works with a new wineprefix it probably was caused by the setup of my wineprefix even though it worked in 7.3 but not in 7.4.
I would be fine if the tickets gets closed as invalid.
