Bug ID: 44970 Summary: Deus Ex Human Revolution: people are invisible when closer than 3 meters Product: Wine Version: 3.5 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-d3dx11 Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: mtmkls@gmail.com Distribution: ---
The game runs great in DX11 mode, it seems to run even smoother than in DX9 mode. However, when people are closer than 3 meters, they become invisible. Only their glasses, eyeballs, and whatever they are holding (cigarettes, weapons, phones etc.) are visible. When Jensen is in cover, only his hair and his weapon is visible. In first person view the weapon is visible, but Jensen's hand holding it is not. This glitch disappears after changing resolution, but reappears when starting the game again.

Yes, without tessellation it looks fine.
So, this seem to be a success report for ATI/AMD users. How about nvidia (closed-source module)?
Model: GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST Version: 390.67 (maybe a bit out-dated)

Please record D3D11 apitrace.
I think you mean WINEDEBUG=d3d11+warning ?
In this case, it might be hard or close to impossible to debug the issue with WINEDEBUG logs. A d3d11 apitrace should allow me to reproduce the issue locally: http://apitrace.github.io/#documentation
