--- Comment #1 from Luke S. [email protected] 2012-07-07 00:11:37 CDT --- Heyo, I also have this bug.
This bug exists for me in a fresh prefix without any winetricks installed.
It exists running the EVE installer for the following Wine versions: 1.5.7-213-g2e167f6 1.5.8
I do not have any previous Wine versions to test.
I am running on Slackware 13.37.
uname -a: Linux *** 2.6.37.6-smp #1 SMP Sat Apr 9 14:01:14 CDT 2011 i686 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
If there is any further information I can provide that would be of assistance, please let me know.

--- Comment #2 from evanh [email protected] 2012-10-03 08:10:17 CDT --- Same here, not even any fix-me's, tested with Wine 1.5.14
Athlon64X2, Geforce 8800GT (G92), 4GB RAM, Kubuntu 12.04 64bit (Kernel 3.2.0-32) - Desktop Effects disabled.
Also tried WINEARCH=win32 - No change.
It's pretty minor as it only affects the first page. After clicking "Next" everything looks perfect.

--- Comment #8 from Niko Apostolidis [email protected] 2013-11-02 18:02:34 CDT --- This is indeed a bug.
The simple workaround is: 1. Bring up a terminal window 2. Type "winecfg" 3. Click on the "Graphics" tab 4. Place a check on "Emulate a virtual desktop" 5. Set your "Desktop_size" to whatever display values you like (1920x1080 is good setting if you are unsure) 6. Press "OK" 7. Attempt to re-launch the installer and it should work as expected

This is indeed a bug.
The simple workaround is:

- Type "winecfg"
- Click on the "Graphics" tab

- Set your "Desktop_size" to whatever display values you like (1920x1080 is

The issue persists for me even after using this workaround. Version: 1.7.18

I think the installer has been updated too. I don't see the issue mentioned here, but I had the issue too before.
Can this bug anymore be even tested?
