Bug #: 30667 Summary: MadTracker not playing anymore Product: Wine Version: 1.4 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: ae_7fam@yahoo.com Classification: Unclassified
I was playing around with the settings in MadTracker 2.6.1, hoping to make it run better. Namely, the "buffers", "size", and "use callback". At the same time, I upgraded from Kubuntu 11.10 to 12.04. I'm not sure what I did, but it no longer is playing anything.
Even after reinstalling MadTracker completely, it still doesn't work.
This is what I get when trying to execute from the terminal:
~$ wine C:\Program/ Files\MadTracker\mt2.exe wine: cannot find 'C:\Program/' ammon@ammon-GA-78LMT-S2P:~$ wine C:\Program\ Files\MadTracker\mt2.exe p11-kit: couldn't load module: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/pkcs11/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory fixme:ntdll:NtLockFile I/O completion on lock not implemented yet

--- Comment #2 from ae_7fam@yahoo.com 2012-05-23 21:52:05 CDT --- I haven't been able to do a regression test (yet).
However, here's what I have found out when hitting "play" and adjusting audio device: When I adjust the soundcard to the HDMI port, it scrolls as it should, but I hear nothing, as I don't have an HDMI monitor. If I adjust it to the one with my soundcard name, it comes up with "undefined external error". If I adjust it to "default", no error messages appear, but it doesn't scroll or play.
I tried to run MT2 on another computer. Same Wine version. However, on one sequence, it randomly grabs the settings incorrectly, adjusting some volumes up past 200%.

--- Comment #3 from ae_7fam@yahoo.com 2012-05-31 11:05:20 CDT --- OK, that's weird. It works PERFECTLY with USB headphones. It just doesn't like my built-in sound card for whatever reason....

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for two years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.25 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #5 from Ken Sharp imwellcushtymelike@gmail.com --- Sounds like an Ubuntu bug. No response in three years anyway.
