--- Comment #1 from Reece Dunn msclrhd@gmail.com 2009-09-26 03:37:42 --- I can confirm this on 1.1.30 running iexplore. It does not crash for other applications that use the web browser control (e.g. the Build-a-lot 4 oberon media game launcher). Both of these were run on their own clean wine prefixes.

--- Comment #2 from Arkadiusz Piekarz piekarzarkadiusz@gmail.com 2009-10-04 08:08:25 --- I confirm this bug.
I've run "wine iexplore" command, the IE window appeared with "cannot display this content" (or something like that) and pop-up if I want to install Gecko. I clicked "Yes" and another dialog showed up with a progress bar, but it stayed at 0% for a minute, then I got a message that it crashed.
I've attached the terminal output and a screen.
Also, I tried to run Steam and it also crashes, most probably due to the Gecko engine (I'll file a bug about it).

--- Comment #6 from Arkadiusz Piekarz piekarzarkadiusz@gmail.com 2009-10-05 06:17:43 --- I'll take a liberty of quoting Austin English from bug 14588 :
------ That's bug 20160, which has an easy workaround: $ wget kegel.com/wine/winetricks $ sh winetricks gecko ------
Doing these commands fixed the issue with Gecko installer.
