Hello,
I've grabbed Virtual Sailor 7.0 demo from here http://www.hangsim.com/vs/, installed it successfully but when run the wine complains mostly about:

Some more information about the wine version and OS are:
$ /usr/local/wine/bin/wine --version wine-1.1.2
$ uname -a SunOS silence 5.11 snv_79a i86pc
Full log is attached.
Thanks, Karel

Still present in wine 1.1.14, as you can see in the attached log. Using the native d3dxof.dll the game loads and can be played. (Did not tested longer than 10min.)

I've found what to do in Wine FAQ. Sorry for the noise here.

Is it working with the native one for you? If so, maybe its an segfault in d3dxof.dll.
There were some d3dxof.dll patches in git these days, so I just tried to use latest git. Same Error and crash. Here's a log +d3dxof,+seh,+tid (.5MB/56MB).

--- Comment #7 from John Haywards normandy@web.de 2009-03-03 08:09:36 --- Micro Flight also affected. Probably same engine. Needs native d3dxof.dll too. If you use the native one, the game starts but only shows "smaller" objects, like low-poly rockets and cockpit, but not the entire models like ships or airplanes.
Demo is available here: http://www.hangsim.com/mf/

--- Comment #11 from Christian Costa titan.costa@wanadoo.fr 2010-04-03 07:29:39 --- I don't see any d3dxof error in the log. Moreover I used Virtual Sailor 7.0 for testing my fix. Could you described exactly what happens ?

Sorry, I didn't check properly. VS works great now! There's probably another bug with MicroFlight (the log I just posted is from MF) Bigger objects are not shown with builtin d3dxof.dll oO http://www.hangsim.com/mf/ << free demo
But it doesn't crash anymore :D
Thank you, Christian!

--- Comment #13 from Christian Costa titan.costa@wanadoo.fr 2010-04-04 04:00:05 --- I suggest to mark this bug as resolved then and enter a new bug for MicroFlight.
