Voipstunt installs fine, but then crashes on startup. It shows a screen "the application has crashed" and asks for a description of what I was doing at that moment.

Could you try if
'wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks cc580'
works around the crash?
If it helps, then just upgrade to wine-1.1.2, and close the bug. If you want to stay with stable release 1.0, you'll have to keep using the workaround from above.

Hmm, I do get this backtrace while running now. And it tells me it's unable to resolve/find the server. Any other ideas?

Yes, as you assume, it only crashes after the connection now. I don't know why the messages are different, I didn't set up any dll overrides myself.
