Created attachment 51342 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=51342 Origin backtrace - Slackware 14.1 - wine 1.7.41
Hello everyone,
I compiled "wine 1.7.41" from source and bought the "Humble Bundle Origin 2" today. Registering games works fine but when I tried to launch the "Syndicate" game I ran into a crash. Backtrace is attached.

--- Comment #1 from jre.winesim@gmail.com --- Hi Maik,
what happens if you disable "Origin in Game"? Start Origin and click in the menu Origin -> Application Settings -> Origin in Game -> Untick "Enable Origin in Game".

--- Comment #4 from Maik Wagner maiktapwagner@aol.com --- Disabling "Origin in game" helped a little, the game seems to start but then an empty message box comes up which just says "Okay". When I click on it I get back to Origin.

--- Comment #5 from Maik Wagner maiktapwagner@aol.com --- Hello Sebastian,
thanks for indicating a fix to me. Is this fix integrated in the latest 1.7.45 version or do I need to do a recompilation of wine?

It was included in 1.7.43, so yes it should be in that version.

--- Comment #7 from Maik Wagner maiktapwagner@aol.com --- Hello everyone,
I have been asked to retest the application. I created a clean wine-Prefix with 1.8-rc1 on my openSUSE "Tumbleweed" box and everything seems to be running smoothly. Installing "Syndicate" works just fine and everything seems to be okay.
When trying to launch "Syndicate" through Origin it gives a Windows error message that "invalid parameters have been received". I didn't have to go through the process of disabling "Origin in game" everything installs out of the box. Launching doesn't work but Origin doesn't generate "exceptional errors" anymore.
I am not sure if we can close this bug. The backtraces are no longer being generated but launching games don't work.
Regards,
Maik

Hello again,
I did another fresh install and during the installation of Ultima 7 through Origin it reported a crash (I could report it to Electronic Arts).
I am attaching my console output for this.

--- Comment #9 from Maik Wagner maiktapwagner@aol.com --- Hello everyone,
Origin made a lot of progress since the bug has been reported. I still have my old installation of origin and would like to point out that the problem of not launching games doesn't apply to all Origin gaming titles. I had "Origin In game" disabled all the time and this solved a lot of problems.
As far as launching games is concerned it pretty much depends on the title you want to launch: As an example the games "Bejeweled 3" and "Zuma's Revenge" launched just fine but as an example "Command and Conquer 1" doesn't.
