Try: wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks msxml3
Done and installes the softwarer. However the problem persists. Do I have to stop all the wine processes before and restart after the installation?

Hi again
Sorry, yesterday I was not accurate. Just making more tests I see that the problem with msxml3 does not occur again, however I still receive the error of OLE 80004001 and a Access Violation error in WebPageMaker.exe.
How I am able to open the WPM just with the error of OLE, however if I try to create a new web page or open an old WSS file (the WPM format for creating web pages) it hangs. If now I try to close WPM OLE error appears again and the Access Violation in WPM.exe.
I hope it is now clearer than before and sorry for the inconvenience
JAB

Just to let you know in case it could be important. I wrote down an email to the developers of WebPageMaker, just to learn from them whether WPM could be run from Wine. They told me that WPM requires IE6 minimum otherwise it does not work. They suggested me to install IE6 under Wine. What I did, just in case, was to install ieslinux 6 that is an IE version that runs over wine.
I hope this information will help you to find out a possible solution. Again, I am at your disposal to test whatever is required to make it run.
Thanks

--- Comment #13 from JAB jabertolin.linux@gmail.com 2008-08-08 10:36:28 --- I downloaded 3.03 version from http://www.webpage-maker.com/download.html and tested.
The results are the following:
- The installation process is OK - When executed, just appear OLE80004001 ERROR but you can navigate - When trying to open a WSS file (format used by WPM to create the web pages) it is saying that the format of the file is invalid (however it works fine in XP) - When trying to open the templates the menu is empty. - When trying to insert a new object in a new document it provokes an Access violation error.
At least when I try to close the program it closes fine, no hangs.
I hope it will help.

This is still a valid bug.
To start, you need these two patches, these will need test cases at least before they will be accepted. These patches will allow a table to be inserting into a document, and not much else.
There is plenty of work still needed in shdocvw, mshtml and msxml3 before this bug will be able to be closed.

Fixed by a patch from 2009, in Wine since version 1.1.34, with your own comment from 2011 saying that the bug is still valid?
If you want to restrict this bug to the particular issue fixed by that patch, that's okay but in that case you also have to update the bug title AND open a followup bug blocked by this one. Bonus points if you also update the bug fields and leave a comment explaining what you're doing.

Yep, a little hasty to close the issue. I should of just obsoleted the patches which is what I based my assumption on.
First issue static HRESULT exec_zoom(HTMLDocument *This, DWORD nCmdexecopt, VARIANT *pvaIn, VARIANT *pvaOut) .... ....return E_NOTIMPL;
Changing to S_OK works around the first issue.
trace:mshtml:HTMLDocumentNode_QI (0x1c5eb0)->(IID_IHTMLElement 0x33d5a0) trace:mshtml:HTMLDOMNode_QI (0x1c5eb0)->(IID_IHTMLElement 0x33d5a0) warn:mshtml:HTMLDOMNode_QI (0x1c5eb0)->(IID_IHTMLElement 0x33d5a0) ... trace:msgbox:MSGBOX_OnInit L"Access violation at address 0047C30C in module 'WebPageMaker.exe'. Read of address 00000000."
The program asked for a interface IHTMLElement and didn't get one, this properly is the next issue. I haven't investigated any future as to the exact problem. IHTMLDocument doesn't have a IHTMLElement interface normally, so there is some else going one.
