After extracting files to installation directory, the setup program asks, wether a program group should be created. Answering "Yes" leads to an unresponsive setup program and the attached wine backtrace in the wine debugger.

somehow I didn't notice the bugs version field. I'm using the version 1.0.0~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1 of the ubuntu package.
This bug does also exist in older versions. I tested the versions 1.0~rc4~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1ubuntu1, 0.9.59, 0.9.58~winehq0~ubuntu~7.10-1 and 0.9.46-ubuntu1. Before 0.9.46-ubuntu1 there was at least one version, which I can't remember by number, where the installer would just exit, without creating the programm manager group.

it works with 1.1.12~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-0ubuntu1. I consider this bug fixed.
