Summary: PureEdge Viewer (ICS Viewer) 6.0 interface is inappropriately rendered with scroll bars Product: Wine Version: 1.1.22 Platform: PC URL: http://www.grants.gov/PEViewer/ICSViewer602_grants.exe OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: richedit AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: arethusa26@gmail.com CC: a_villacis@palosanto.com
Created an attachment (id=21428) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=21428) Screenshot of ICS Viewer in Wine 1.0
With today's Git (wine-1.1.22-219-gfbb43c4), after running winetricks vcrun6 and installing the ICS Viewer, the ICS Viewer, spawned post-install, has interface elements rendered inappropriately with scroll bars. The problem does not occur with Wine versions 1.0 and 1.0.1, and a regression test showed:
acfb6ea210c92ef9ff41dc6828f9482e9c6d6516 is first bad commit commit acfb6ea210c92ef9ff41dc6828f9482e9c6d6516 Author: Alex Villacís Lasso a_villacis@palosanto.com Date: Sun Jul 20 11:29:19 2008 -0500
richedit: Do not read actual scrollbar state for scrollbar update, use internal state instead.

Wine prior to acfb6ea210c92ef9ff41dc6828f9482e9c6d6516 did not show the problem. Since at this time of this report, the grants.gov site was under maintenance, I have uploaded a copy of the installer to http://filebin.ca/uuzoxq/ICSViewer602_grants.exe for temporary access.

--- Comment #4 from Andrew Nguyen arethusa26@gmail.com 2009-06-01 17:03:48 --- Yes, the application with native riched20 does not show the problem, although I had to also install native riched30 else the application would complain of not being able to load richedit.

--- Comment #7 from Alex Villacís Lasso a_villacis@palosanto.com 2009-06-05 19:24:37 --- I am having big trouble running this app with current git. I am getting a segfault on startup, before seeing any window. I thought that since I had a MSVCRT.DLL file, I did not need to run winetricks. Now I will do it and report back...

--- Comment #8 from Alex Villacís Lasso a_villacis@palosanto.com 2009-06-08 12:43:05 --- Current wine 1.1.23 is unable to run this application at all on my home machine, and crashes it with a segfault. Doing winetricks vcrun6 makes no difference. Starting from a clean wineprefix makes no difference either. Could you please confirm whether this app still works in your case with 1.1.23, or is it just a misconfiguration on my side?
