This function does not look hard to implement, it's probably just touching some registry values for given product and we have all needed registry access helpers already. Louis, do you have time to look into that?
Well I never looked into msi really so i don`t know if i would be able to fix this (quickly). From a point of efficiency and quality maybe better one of the msi-guys then had a look at on this then, so i can spend time on improving bugreports/filter out duplicates/invalid reports.
