Summary: Paint Shop Pro X not installable because of next-button stays greyed out Product: Wine Version: 0.9.47. Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: wine-comctl32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jr98@gmx.net
When you try to install PSP X (10.0) you can't get past license agreement screen, because the next-button is disabled and doesn't change when you check the accept box.
My first guess would be window messaging problems. On Windoze, the Button becomes active when you scroll to the bottom of the agreement and check the box. The cancel (and after that, the finish-) button is invisible, but gets drawn when you click in the right place.
err:msi:deformat_environment Unknown environment variable L"ALLUSERSPROFILE" err:richedit:ReadStyleSheet ReadStyleSheet: skipping optional destination err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"LicenseAgreement" returned 1602
This is the only possibly relevant output, last line after you clicked cancel.
Anyone think it's a good idea to suggest this for 1.0? PSP is pretty popular, it has some functionality gimp hasn't and most people can't afford Photoshop.

--- Comment #1 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk 2007-10-24 01:38:22 --- Is there a demo for this application, that shows the same problem? thx

--- Comment #2 from Julian Rüger jr98@gmx.net 2007-10-24 03:39:48 --- There is a free trial at http://www.soft32.com/download/63-119347/Corel_PaintShopPro1000_EN_TBYB_Tria... but that shows a different behavior. It gives a lot of fixmes and errors in the console and the installer goes to the "setup was interrupted" screen before you can do anything. (Finish-button invisible, too... and the installer gui looks quite the same as my version)
Theres another version from the corel site http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/de/de/Product/1152105040706 but only in german (could not find that on international page). This version fails extracting the real setup files.
The version I have acts like a trial until you input the registration code... (If you were able to install it, of course) I'm not sure if I'm allowed to upload it anywhere, do we have any lawyers here? :)

--- Comment #4 from Julian Rüger jr98@gmx.net 2007-10-24 06:16:04 --- It seems that I have an older version of the installer, someone reportet the same issue on AppDB.
The newer installers, those Corel used with PSP XI (11), PHOTO X2 (12 I guess) and also the trial I postet the link to (soft32), produce this error:
err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"PCU_Callit" returned 1603
and skip to "Install Shield Wizard was interrupted before psp could completely install.... blah Click Finish to exit." screen.

--- Comment #5 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2008-04-24 06:49:22 --- Is this still an issue in current (0.9.60 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #6 from Julian Rüger jr98@gmx.net 2008-04-24 10:22:42 --- The next-button problem is fixed, thanks! I was able to succesfully install psp 10.0 with 0.9.60, but the installer doesn't seem to exit cleanly.
When I attempt to start psp, I get: "This copy of Paint Shop Pro has been damaged or illegally modified. Please reinstall from your original source."
However, original problem is fixed, so resolving.
