there is a misplacement of some windows in the Kicker.exe of MTGO III. by the log i think it is a user32 issue but i'm not good in this area to know where to try fixing. the screenshots of how it is and how it should be are in attachment and the +relay and +win logs too.

--- Comment #8 from ricardo filipe ricardo_barbano@hotmail.com 2012-02-28 16:54:55 CST --- this bug no longer exists using dotnet30. the window is still misplaced using mono210 though, but i guess that's not a wine bug anymore. it also hangs on mono. so dotnet30 seems the right call. but we need dotnet40 support to run the full app.

--- Comment #9 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.16 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #10 from ricardo filipe ricardo_barbano@hotmail.com --- Yes, this bug is still present in the latest git version of wine.

With Wine Mono 4.5.x or .NET Framework?

--- Comment #12 from ricardo filipe ricardo_barbano@hotmail.com --- With either mono 4.5.2 or dotnet30. it seems dotnet30 no longer fixes the issue, which could warrant a regression test if i had the time...

--- Comment #13 from ricardo filipe ricardo_barbano@hotmail.com --- recently retested the application and overriding gdiplus fixed this issue. the window now shows as in a windows 64 bit installation (which has a windows bug that the 32 bit version doesn't) So I am changing the affected component to gdiplus.

--- Comment #14 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
I don't see the 'windows misplacement' issue with native .NET Frameworks.
There is some graphical artifacting (black background areas) but the controls/ buttons/progress bars are in the right place and usable (clicking buttons does the right thing).
So this is obviously bug recycling again ...
1) if 'windows misplacement' is still present with Mono -> make it a Mono bug 2) if you target the graphics artifacting (fixed by gdiplus) -> refine the summary again (recycling anyway)
.NET Framework 4.0 client profile required by installer .NET Framework 2.0 required by kicker and managed DX installer
Also .NET 3.x is clearly not needed - it might have been a requirement some years ago. The thing runs properly with .NET Framework 4.0 and 2.0 installed.

What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version|1.1.28 |1.7.17
--- Comment #15 from ricardo filipe ricardo_barbano@hotmail.com --- Hi focht, I already changed the component to reflect that the graphics artifacts are problems with gdiplus. I still have issues of button text misplacement after applying native gdiplus though. However, I believe these are a problem of the application, not Wine, since windows 7 64 bit also shows the same behaviour.
